How long is my data retained within Mondly’s Digital Language Tutor (DLT)?

Mondly retains personal data within Digital Language Tutor (DLT) only for as long as necessary to support your learning experience and to meet legal and compliance requirements, including those under the EU AI Act. For example, voice recordings are temporarily retained solely to generate real-time transcriptions for feedback purposes and are securely deleted once the transcription is complete. The transcription itself may be retained longer as part of Mondly’s audit records to ensure compliance with AI Act requirements, allowing us to monitor DLT’s accuracy, minimise bias, and ensure the AI operates fairly for you and all users. Once these purposes are fulfilled, all data is securely deleted in accordance with Mondly’s data retention policies.
